REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum requirements: Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Experience: Relevant trip in cleansing hospitals or healthcare environments. Inherently requirements of the position: Communication capabilities in at least two of the three officers languages ​​of the Western Cape. Ability to lift/move heavy objects and work at heights that require the use of a stepladder. Willingness to work shifts, public holidays, weekends, additional time and night time shift. Relief in different departments when necessary. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good conversation and interpersonal skills.

DUTIES:

Responsible for cleansing obligations eg. sweeping, dusting, emptying boxes daily, mopping, scrubbing and polishing, cleansing windows, deep cleansing toilets, regularly occurring rubbish and scientific waste managing and upkeep of typical cleanliness and hygiene (comply with OSH and IPC policies). Perform affected person meal portions and cleansing crockery and cutlery (according to HACCP standards and meals provider unit policies). Effective use, upkeep and secure maintaining of materials and equipment. Attend in-service coaching and grant help to the supervisor. Handling of linen (dirty lined, soiled lined, easy linen, be counted of linen, packing linen room, etc.)
